There are some moments in life where the juxtaposition of items makes you reconsider what is around you. Shadi Ghadirian’s work struggles to make you reconsider what you know of women in Iran, tyring to work out the dicotomy of a society that smuggles in contemporary items while mandating clothes of a distant time. Her work deserves your time.
